INDIVIDUAL TAX PREPARATION: Please follow the steps listed below. Read the steps and choose the option that best fits your needs. However, Steps One and Two must be completed and signed before the tax return can be prepared.
BUSINESS: If you are a business or own a business that is a C Corp, S Corp, LLC, scroll down to the Business Tax Organizer button. If you are a sole proprietorship, scole to the appropriate buttton Please note that all steps must be completed and signed in order for us to prepare you tax return. We have provided you PDF forms for you to use. Step two provides you with a fill-in PDF form that you can enter your tax information into. If you have any questions please let our office know: (305) 824-2963. You may also fax in your tax documents to our secure server at: (561) 584-5221 We encourage you to use step four below so that you do not have to come into our office, this is an easier approach for our clients who choose this method. |

NOTE: At the beginning of tax season you will be sent a link to your email with an automated data collection form that covers all of the current year tax information that is needed to prepare your tax returns. If you did not get one, send a text to 818.252.5682 with your name and email and we will forward you a link to use.
STEP ONE - this is a PDF form that you need to print out, read and sign. This document needs to be attached to your tax organizer in step two. We will not prepare a tax return unless these documents are signed and attached to your tax organizer. If you are unable to print out the Tax Preparation Agreement, please call our office at: 818.619.9788 and we will mail one to you.

STEP TWO - these are PDF forms for you to print out and fill in. Use the appropriate form for your business or personal return. These forma must be filled completed in full to the best of your ability. We will not not prepare a tax return unless these documents are filled out and initialed or signed. This is your responsibility to provide us with your tax information. If you are unable to print out the Client Tax Organizer, please call our office at: 888.681.1518 and we will mail one to you.

Privide a copy of your income statement, balance sheet & bank statements for the year. Individual - Schedule C - Business or Profession
For realtors that have business income and expenses for Schedule C - Business or Profession, or for other business entities being used by the Realtor.
This is you file Itemized Deductions on Schedule A on your personal tax return. Many tiems have been eliminated under the new tax laws.
This is for Schedule E - Rental Income Property - Income and Expenses
Fill out in full and provide permission to Lodge & Co. on your tax return for any refund to be deposited into your personal or business bank account.

STEP THREE - call our office and book a tax preparation appointment. Once you have booked a date and time you will receive an EMail confirming your appointment. Please be on-time to your appointment. If you are going to send in your tax data to us - follow Step Four
NO SHOW: $60 NO SHOW FEE. We charge a $60 NO SHOW FEE if your tax appointment is NOT canceled OR rescheduled AT LEAST 24 hours prior. This fee is payable when your return is finally done. |
STEP FOUR - MAIL, FAX OR EMAIL SERVICES - If you would like to send in your tax preparation agreement, client tax organizer and tax documents to us via mail, fax or email, please use one of the three methods to the right. Many of our clients use these method, and we encourage you to do so. A Tax Practitioner will take your data, enter it into our secure tax system, and prepare the tax return. If the Tax Practitioner has questions and needs further information from you they will call you direct. If you need to speak to a Tax Practitioner call: 888.681.1518. Once a tax return has been prepared it will be sent to you via secure email for you to review and approve for us to file.

CLIENT TAX RETURN RELEASE - Federal law requires that if you need a copy of your tax returns and tax date sent to someone other then yourself, you need to fill out a release form prior to our firm releasing data. We will not release any tax data based on a phone call, you must fill out a client tax return release. No exceptions.
DIVORCE TAX & FINANCIAL DOCUMENT(S) REVIEW - It is required of clients to sign a release form to release their tax or financial documents to the firm to review. This service is designed for individuals that are divorced or going through a divorce, to review tax documents to explain to the client what has been the history of their filings and to teach them how to read the documents and prepare them in a new life.

MILEAGE LOG - use this form to keep a log of your mileage used for business or work. If you are to be audited you will be required to produce a mileage log. If you do it during the course of the year it will provide you to be in compliance with mileage rules. This is an excel spreadsheet. We encourage you to use a mobile app to track your mileage. It is more accurate and will help you out greatly.
